LAB ACTIVITIES

The laboratory activity includes the preparation of sediments and sedimentary rocks for geochemical analyses in the study of natural systems.

The laboratory provides rock preparation for geochemical analyses, including:

- preparation of rocks for stable carbon and oxygen isotope analysis on carbonates

- preparation of rocks for stable carbon isotope analysis on organic matter

- preparation of rocks for X-ray fluorescence (XRF) analysis to measure major, minor, and trace element concentrations

- preparation of rocks for ICP-OES analysis to measure major, minor, and trace element concentrations

- preparation of rocks for ICP-MS analysis to measure minor, trace, and ultra-trace element concentrations
